It's that time of year again. Time to start buying gifts and stuffing stockings. It seems some people are baffled as to what to put in their children's stockings. But it is actually quite simple and inexpensive. Below I have listed some of my favorite items to put in a toddler's stocking.
Food and snacks
Okay, so you probably don't want to fill your toddler's stocking with all of the available Christmas candy which is quite understandable. Rarely does a
toddler on a sugar high make a Christmas merry. But this doesn't mean they have to miss out. You can still fill the stocking with a wide variety of more appropriate snacks. Include in your child's stocking plenty of there favorite snacks like goldfish, fruit cups, fresh fruit, juice boxes, and low-sugar gummies. Other item's to include would be sippy cups, plastic spoons and forks, bowls and plates.
Toiletries and bath time
Most
toddlers love bath time. So stuff their stocking with items that will help make your toddler's bath time even more fun. Include toys like rubber ducks and plastic toys that squirt water. Also include shampoo, soap, a hair brush and bubble bath. Pampers makes a brand of hand soap specially targeted towards
toddlers that would easily fit into a stocking. This is a fun way to teach your child how to wash their own hands. Another favorite would be a tooth brush and
training tooth paste. Get a tooth brush featuring one of your toddler's favorite characters. And another great idea is character bandaids.
Fun and crafts
Encourage your child's creativity. Include crayons, washable markers, finger paint, and play-doh. Most
toddlers would also appreciate stickers, coloring books, and small toys. Spark your toddler's interest in reading by adding some small books. Most
toddlers love music so you could also include a few Cds. Another great choice would be educational DVDs.
When filling my child's stocking I include lots of things that I will have to buy throughout the year anyway. Be creative and if you have a girl add some cute accessories like jewelry and hair bows. By purchasing stocking stuffers that your
toddler will need anyway it really helps save money. I hope this will help guide you through stuffing your toddler's stocking.
